Opportunity TrackerDownload here (256Kb pst file) Opportunity Tracker - is a simple opportunity management form which will work in an individual Outlook mailbox. It can be used instead of Business Contact Manager where you want a solution which works entirely within Outlook and has no external database. The fact that it works entirely in Outlook also means it can be used in a public folder to track team opportunities as well as in your personal mailbox to track one person's opportunities. All the code is included with the form, so you could also use it as a starting place for your own form development. Key features are:
This application is designed as a simple entry level opportunity tracker. For more advanced requirements we could customise the basic form, or we have a full CRM system TeamScope CRM also based entirely within Outlook. Opportunity form:The main element is a customised task form in a new Opportunity tracking folder. There are buttons to create linked appointments, tasks, send email, and add dated and signed notes.
Opportunity folder view:In the view seen below, the opportunities are grouped by Sales Stage, and show expected close date (due date), projected revenue and next actions. However you can set up your own views to show any of the fields, and to group, sort, filter and highlight the items to suit the way you work.
Linked Task:It is always a good idea to track the next action for each opportunity. If there is no next action, you don't have an opportunity. The next action field also includes a button to create a task in your task folder. It will automatically populate the subject with opportunity name and task details, and if you have links to contacts on the opportunity, these will also be added to the task. Double clicking a contact name will open the contact card ready to call/email etc. Links on the form enable single click opening of the opportunity from the task.
