Custom Solutions

Davton Consulting provide Business Solutions based around Microsoft Outlook™. Much of our work is providing custom solutions to business problems.

Davton will talk with you to evaluate your requirements, and choose the simplest method of providing a solution. Simplicity is always the best policy, and we recommend starting small and adding functionality in stages. Many of our projects are simple changes to forms taking only a day or so to write and test. More complex requirements are usually broken down into smaller projects taking a week or so.

Cost Effective Solutions

Many requirements only need a small amount of development to provide a big impact. All our projects are fixed price - so you know what the costs are in advance, and almost all our quotes turn into orders because the solutions are so cost effective.

Remotely Developed

Most of the work is carried out remotely from our own offices. The solution will be designed and tested on our systems, with only the final testing stages using the customer system. Our remote access software gives us everything we require to install and support our solution remotely, and the reduced travel times and costs mean we can work faster and ensures the project costs stay as low as possible.

Solutions are normally based on Visual Basic, and may be written in VBScript, VB6 or VB.net (occasionally C#) depending on which is best for your solution. Many solutions can be achieved simply by adding VBScript to custom forms, but others will require a COM add-in, or stand alone application to be created. In each case we will write the code, and then test it both locally on our test system and on your system; before helping you to roll it out as necessary.
