Folder Views
You can set up and save custom views of your Outlook folders. For
example contact folders can be viewed as 'Contact Cards' - or in a table
view (more like a spread sheet). Items can be sorted, filtered and
grouped. Any of your standard or custom fields can be displayed.

First you should review the standard 'Views' which are built in to
Outlook to determine which is closest to the view you want to achieve.
- From the toolbar select: view / arrange by / current view.
..and you will see a list of 10 or so standard views you can change
between. The data is not changing - just the way you are choosing to
view the data.
- Different folder's have different views - so check how the options
change when you select: view / arrange by / current view. .. when
viewing different folders.
- Contact Folders have Address Cards and Table Views
- Calendar Folders can be viewed by the day, week, month or as a list
of entries
Once you have chosen a standard view to start from, you can modify it
to create your new view.
- Select your starting view in the required folder (i.e. of you want to
create a table view, choose a table view as a starting view, not an
'Address cards' view)
- Right Click in the Header of the view, or in some blank space within
the body of the view.
- Select the option 'Customize Current view'. You will now have seven
further ways of formatting your custom view.
If you wish to save or publish your view, you will need to define or
save your View through the 'Define Views' window.
- Open the Define Views window by selecting from the toolbar: view /
arrange by / current view / define views
- Make a copy of the view you wish to change or publish. If your view
is not shown in the list, you can copy the <current view settings> .
- Save the Changes using a new name
- If you want other people to be able to see your view, you can use
the 'Publish' button. Note you can only publish forms if you have
'Owner' permissions for the folder concerned.
